Today in Japan, children in thousands of early primary school classrooms are enjoying thinking about everyday phenomena via molecular models. This is possible thanks to curriculum created by Hypothesis—Experiment Class. We will demonstrate this curriculum with many examples. The use of HEC in teacher education will also be introduced.

- Little Atomists : Megumi Ito, a primary school teacher, reported in her book, " Little Atomists," how pupils, aged 6-7, discussed molecular motion in her HEC class. Her pupils enjoy thinking with the help of images of atoms and molecules.
- Reading, Writing, Arithmetic, and Molecular Models : Dr. Itakura recommends early exposure to atomism. He shows us the path to a bright future of education.
- What is the Hypothesis–Experiment Class? : An overview of HEC is given through a brief introduction of the class management. It also includes a list of HEC Classbooks.
- ASEproceedings2018Liverpool : An introduction of HEC through one of the typical Classbooks "Objects and their Weight".
The
English-translation and publication of Dr Itakura's original works advocating HEC has been completed. The new book includes detailed descriptions of the theory and method, and all the relevant issues. It is a feature of this book that carefully selected "Classbooks", which are inseparable with HEC, are appended. There is also including "If You Could See an Atom" in the appendix.
